In test number 2, I saw Alice and the rabbit falling. What did everyone else see?

This is so cool! Sure must have also been a blast to create the tests

Thank you! Yeah, it was a lot of fun. I linked to another story of mine last year at the end of this one set in the same world and borrowed some of the dialogue from that story for my meditation “test” here to tie everything together.

I wanted to do more “tests,” but I was running out of time, so I landed on five, haha. Thanks for checking it out!

I'll definitely check that other one out when I have the time! It grabbed my attention for sure ✨

That was so fun! Very much reminded my of the Portal games (which is a HUGE compliment). Thanks for the fun ride!!!

Hell yeah, thanks Daniel! I love the portal games. 🤓👏🏻👏🏻

Concept-forward and playful, with a strong grasp of reader psychology. It leans more immersive experiment than narrative arc.

Great analysis, my friend! I agree that it’s more of an experiment that a narrative arc. I always like to push the boundaries of my work for Flash Fiction February, so I appreciate you calling that out.

I’ve explored this concept elsewhere in other stories I did last year, so maybe I’ll revisit this again with more narrative meat on its bones.

Thanks for checking it out!

ok, i was like chill Bradley is that you?...waoh you're soul walking too dude... *snicker* fun idea. your musical pairing is missing for me. and i had the same glitch with the audio. i have to reload the post for wach one. Might just be a fairy issue. *grin*

Bradley Ramsey's avatar

Haha, still not sure about the audio glitch. You’re the second person who has experienced that issue (that I know of), and it only seems to be with embedded audio (not narration), so it may be Substack glitches.

In this case, I also totally forgot to add the music, so that one’s on me! 😂

Verdant Butterfly's avatar

yeah the glitch is the embedded audio plays in all the embedded players at once. so they all become the same Audio file. but reloading the post fixes it. ✨🦋

You’re breadth of ideas blows my mind.

Very creative. Might take soulwalking breaks at work!

I'd recommend it! 😂

WHAT THE HECK THIS IS SO COOL!

This is an absolutely incredible way to create a story that is next level in the immersion department!

Haha, thank you, Mina! You know I love to do wild experiments like this during Flash Fiction February.
