this is really great. i resonate with the experience of the car & music as sanctuary - very much so. the audio is eerie and comforting at the same time.

Thank you! I'm so glad it resonated with you, and I love the way you described the audio: that's exactly what I was going for.

We are sometimes completely different people when we drive.

Oh my gosh! This blew me away, what an amazing way to look at something so mundane as riding in a car!

I have to agree with the other comments, this IS a masterpiece!

Agree with Elizabeth that this is a masterpiece xD the audio and the emotion in your voice adds so many layers to the poem.

I get carsick easily 😅 I'm kind of FOMO now. I've heard of a lot of people who have similar experiences listening to music and driving 🩵 it sounds so healing

Fascinating piece! I couldn't help but think of Emily Dickenson's Nature LVII poem, where she says she spends church in her garden. I always found that so grounded. Listening to your audio recording, it reminded me of all the times I've sat in my car, praying, crying, or even screaming for answers to why I was going through something. This will definitely be remembered fondly beside Dickenson for me. Great work!

Thank you so much, my friend! This is truly incredible feedback. I don’t believe I’ve read the Dickenson poem you mentioned, but I will have to remedy that soon!

Loved this!

You definitely communicated that freeing feeling that you can feel in a car filled with music!

And the comparison to it as a sanctuary was just beautiful!

Thank you so much, my friend! I'm really proud of this one, and like most poems, it just sort of hit me while I was driving earlier.

This is beautiful. I've felt this many times, in the car, in the shower, on a walk. Places of small pockets of solitude.
