Battered by wind and rain. 
Enduring hardship and pain. 
Tattered sails barely hanging on. 
Traveling further from the dawn.
Each step takes me closer to peace. 
Repeating my plea for the storm to cease. 

Drowning in the unending deep. 
All I’ve ever wanted is to keep, 
you forever here in my heart.
Same as I’ve said from the start.
