His eyes were the first thing she noticed. Eyes that demanded her attention.
Intertwined, they danced the night away. Swaying to and fro to the beat of the music.
Names didn’t matter; their connection went deeper. Opening passageways between their two souls. The truth evaded her because she was finally happy.
Reveling in that moment, smiling so wide. Even as the poison ate away at her insides. A choice she made freely earlier that night. Last dance in the moon’s pale light.
