Nothing more terrifying than coming face-to-face with yourself. Well done

Bradley, this was a terrific story with a great ending. My granddaughters showed me a manga that was very similar. It was called, "Remina, the Hell Star," by an artist/writer called Junji Ito. The art was spectacular but so graphic, in terms of violence, that I couldn't look at it. But I totally enjoyed your story.

Maybe you don’t know who you are and while you are playing savior you are actually the parasite. This is good. It gives space for the reader to wonder.

But I want to live...that was really good Bradley. Science Fiction has always been a fun avenue for bringing social issues to light. I enjoyed the read. 🦋

Indeed! Cerafis was absolutely a metaphor for human beings and our capacity for destruction. Thanks for checking it out, Wendy!

The growing dread as it grew....the correlation to humanity....I'm seeing this as an alien on some outpost peeking in on humans & seeing us as the cerafis. May be off, but that is how I read it...and being one, a cerafis, creeps me out more.
