I.... simply have no words. I do not think I have ever been more at a loss for words in response to a piece. This is my favorite of yours yet, I think. The tragedy, the beauty, the honesty, the pain, the love... All of it, man, is just... Wow. I am so lucky that I am alive rn to witness a talent like you get recognition for his work. Thank you for sharing this piece with us. Wow. Just. Wow.
You humble me as always, Isabella. It’s indescribably gratifying to see my work resonate with you and others here. Thank you for being such a positive force in this community!
I LOVE this piece! Especially the scene at the lake. I grew up on a lake and there is nothing more beautiful than a meaningful moment shared by the water. This story had so many elements I loved, and I really liked how the story jumped through memories. It was an honest look at how tragedy can pull our minds in different directions. Thank you for sharing it!
Wonderful analysis, Anna, thank you! Yes, something about being by water just makes a moment so much more impactful. You're absolutely right, the piece is meant to be a commentary on how trauma and tragedy can rob us of our memories. Thank you for reading!
