Just to clarify…. I only found Eric LaRocca recently. It’s the psychological, visceral tenderness I love. The one thing I didn’t mention: he inspires me to post. He wrote something (I actually found it on substack) about bad reviews and how it was having a negative effect on him. His work doesn’t inspire me as much as his confidence within his own writing does.
I don’t know why, but I just felt like I needed to say that. Here’s the link to his post that really changed my viewpoint about myself:
I'm sorry it takes me 3 days to get through a podcast 😅
Amazing episode as always. Love the booktok girl joke but Arnold for sure knows what that girls talking about 😏
I have to prepare myself emotionally before listening to your reviews because I always tear up. A phoenix 🥹 that's so sweet! I'm always like "how am i unique" but the more you say it the more i believe it i guess. Thank you 😊
The other stories sounded interesting! I can totally see the toxic relationship thing in "The Architect" and that one was just so good!
Morana I'm so happy to see you here and get to learn more about you. Your writing style really drew me in from the beginning too! I love that intensity, sex is all about replacing your eyes with theirs really 🤷♀️ and you know no one feels like a poet until someone says they are but you are definitely a poet. Tattoo that on, it's a badge of honor remember it! You are so consistently delicately gruesome and it's always riveting to read. I love how unfiltered you were here and laughed out loud at your threesome joke 🤣 very relatable and amazing interview 👏
oh sweet girl, thank you so much! I think you and I connected through each others writing, but I got scared and bailed, I know I have some catching up to do.
I listened to it again today and thought, "omg shut up" lol... maybe,, maybe i am a poet or whatever.
And no worries! I just appreciate you listening each week. I'm glad you enjoyed the review this week for your narrative feast. I meant every word, you really are doing incredible work, and I'm more than happy to make sure the world knows. 😊
Morana was one of my favorite interviews yet, so I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Okay I've finally finished it up and this may be the best episode yet! There were some seriously beautiful points made by Morana and all of the stories featured today sounded so amazing!
Another awesome podcast Bradley. I really look forward to them each week. There are some wonderful writers here. Oh wow…. I certainly am having a ball.
Like always, thanks for being such a big believe in the work I do with BookStack, and for promoting the giveaway, Bradley! The skits you do always have me like bursting with giddiness. and provides like a nice contrast to some of the weighted discussion of the interview. Or at least that's what it seems like. I'll be listening to that part after I get off my break.

That’s totally fair! I’ll have to check out that post about bad reviews. That’s a tough obstacle to move past.

Haha, I agree that Arnold knows, deep down. 😂

I would 1000% buy a book of Morana's poetry lol
I'm sorry for live tweeting this 😂
OMG REALLY!? I need to buy your book, I'm pretty stoked for it.
It'll be out on Halloween! 😁
Never apologize for your live tweets, haha, they always make my week. 😁
😂😂 thank you for saying that
I just feel like I have so many comments that I'll forget them by the end 😅
Quick note: Morana, I am definitely of the mindset that we are living in hell 😂
Everything is shitty lol
Indeed lol
Deep umami flavor 😂
I’m gonna miss Lord Devereaux after October, haha, but trust me when I say he’ll be back!

I’m so glad to hear it! Thanks for listening, my friend. 😁
Oh yeah sable butterfly has teeth and claws.
Yeah she does. 😎
Bwhaha cut and run
Haha, I was proud of that one this week. 😂
Does voice acting the devourer affect your voice at all? XD I feel like it might but I’m not sure.
Oh yeah, it absolutely does.
Towards the end of the Narrative Feasts you may hear it starting to break a little bit. My vocal cords were not happy with me. 😂
Drink lots of tea with honey! Substack would be a darker place without your voice!
Good tip! And thank you my friend, that means a lot.
My pleasure! (Tea is superior to coffee I’m biased)
I like both, but definitely agree. Tea is quite superior.
Voice rest!
Second place in 24 hours?! That's actually bonkers lol
Thank you so much 😭😭
I'm still listening but it's such a good episode so far 😭
I love the umami flavor 😂😂
