Hollywood's endless train of cookie-cutter turds has made me generally wary of anything that can be called a remake, but I feel like this was handled with due respect for the original while putting your own stamp on it, and has some evocative imagery in the reaper that invokes the dualistic quandary of free will versus determinism.
