This was incredible. The pacing and the characters were so well done and, even though I haven't had the chance to read any of your other work set in this world, I didn't find it confusing... instead it made me so curios to read more!
I'm not sure this was a good starting point (guess I should check out that content directory) but this was a great story even though I started with very little knowledge of this world. And the voiceover was perfect! I can't wait to read (and listen to) more!
And by the way, you had me at "maggots writhed in their nostrils." I'm hooked!
Thanks for checking it out! I try to write the D’veen stories where any one can be an entry point, so this is a good a place to start as any.
Nothing in this one spoils anything major from any of the other stories. The only time that will happen is if you skip chapters in the series, but otherwise they’re all fairly standalone stories. 😁
And thank you for the feedback on the voiceover! I’ve made it a policy to voice every single D’veen story I write since they’re usually narrated by my Finton character.
As a fairly slow, and often distracted reader, the audio versions are always a plus for me. And once again, you have given me the bug to try this with one of mine, but I can't decide which story to start with, or if I shloud write a new one with VO in mind. Haha!
The sound effects are insanely good! It just keeps getting better and better! I will be honest I skipped my initial read and hit play on the audio version first 😆 It's rare the audio version is better! But there you go!! It's fire!!
The writer in me wants to say something meaningful to show my appreciation for your work lol but amazingly enough, all I got is this is.... Lit! 😆
Oh my GOSH
This was phenomenal!
The sound effects, the musical pairing, the introduction of my favorite little forest 🥰
I know I say this every time, but this is my FAVORITE D'Veen tale!
Thank you so much, Mina! Your input is always incredibly valuable since you’ve been a fan from the beginning.
It’s awesome to hear that each new one is your favorite. That means my skills are indeed improving, haha.
Thank you as always for the amazing support!
Ohh the rot is going to give me nightmares. 🫣
Yeah, it’s definetly one of the scarier elements of D’veen, that’s for sure! 😅

So well done! Such a masterpiece!
Haha, thank you so much! I work really hard on the audio versions since I know plenty of people like having that option.
Feedback like this always makes me feel like it’s time well spent! 😁👏🏻
It honestly shows!
